Ogun State Police Command announced that Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi (commonly known as “portable”) was wanted for allegedly involved in violent attacks on government officials performing their legal duties.
An announcement was issued on February 5, 2025 within about 1,000 hours, according to a statement from Ogun State Planning and Urban Development Department, headquarters spokesman SP Omolola Odutola. Tpl Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi conducted an enforcement drill at Oke-Osa in Tigbo Ilu Ota when they met an elderly man who later was in the Odogwu Bar in the area and was later identified as Portable’s father.
After identifying himself and asking for an approved building plan, the father told them that his son was unavailable.
“Still a moment later, however, portable hand-held guns and other dangerous weapons led a gang of nine-person thugs to violently attack unarmed officials. Law enforcement officers suffered various personal injuries but managed to escape and report the incident to OTA Area Command, which later escalated the case to the state Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further action.
Nine accomplices were arrested but fled the scene in a portable manner and then hid in hiding. Several formal invitations were sent to demand his presence at the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Abeokuta Eleweran, who he deliberately unreasonably or legally disregarded.
After his repeated escapes, the Ogun State Police Department has obtained a valid court order declaring that he wants it.
Odutola mentioned that members of the public are strongly advised to be arrested immediately by providing any valuable information.
“Anyone who finds the suspect’s help or possesses the suspect will face legal consequences.
He added: “For any relevant information, please report to the nearest police department or contact the Ogun State Police Command through its official communication channels or through the police public relations department.”
