The Niger State Police Command has arrested another suspect, Dauda Umar Sarki, in connection with M8rder of Mohammed Abdulsafur, village chief of Lambata, Gulala local government area of the state.
It is worth recalling that on January 14, 2023, some angry young men in Lambata attacked the deceased’s residence in large numbers, and his residence attacked him after the lingering chief dispute.
Subsequently, 14 criminal suspects related to the incident were arrested, of which 12 had been tried on M8rder.
The suspect was arrested by officials from the Gawu Babangida Division under the order of the Supreme Court Justice Aisha Wodu Bawa in Suleja.
Sarki will hold suspects in other cases in the correctional facility.
The court denied one of the suspects, Ibrahim Musa, a bail application, also known as Na’allah.
Judge Bawa has taken the case until February 27-29 for a definite hearing, and until then the suspect was still in custody.
The judge urged participating legal representatives to avoid unnecessary delays in the lawsuit.
