    Police arrest four suspects in the kidnapping of Bauchi and the 6-year-old boy

    The Bauchi State Police Department has arrested four suspects in connection with Shuaibu Safiyanu, a six-year-old boy in the Dalazzo local government area of ​​the state.

    The commander’s spokesman, CSP, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, revealed this in a statement Saturday, March 22, 2025, with his father, Safiyanu Abdullahi, saying his son was missing to village chief Musa Isah.

    During the interrogation, Rabi’u identified 35-year-old Samson Ozoichikel as the mastermind behind the kidnapping. He also involved two other suspects: Muhammad Sani and Musa Usman.

    Unfortunately, on March 21, the body of Shuaibu Safiyanu was found in nearby bushes and a rope tied around his neck.

    The bodies were evacuated to a general hospital and a doctor confirmed his D3ATH.

    “In a major development, the Bauchi State Police Department has successfully arrested four 6-year-old boy Shuaibu Safiyanu, who is involved in the kidnapping and tragic loss in the Daraso local government area, in four cases of kidnapping and tragic losses,” the statement said.

    “At about 8:00 am on March 20, 2025, Safiyanu Abdullahi, a resident of Sade Village, reported the disappearance of his son Shuaibu, the village chief of Musa Isah. Later that day, Abdullahi received a ransom demand from an unknown caller, eventually lowering the N3,000,000 request.

    “In a quick response to this report, detectives at the Darasao Division Police Headquarters conducted a comprehensive investigation, thus achieving a breakthrough at the nearby POS scene.

    “On March 21, 2025, at about 10:00 a.m., police agents arrested Rabi’u Muhammadu, 23, from the village of Leka. He was found to have a phone number and account number 0145285130 Ozochikelu Samson Union Bank used to make a ransom demand.

    “During the interrogation, Rabi’u Muhammadu identified 35-year-old Samson Ozoichikel from Sade Village, as the mastermind behind the kidnapping.
