Rivers State Police Command has arrested a suspect for alleged kidnapping and R3PE arrests of a 14-year-old girl in Port Harcourt.
The commander’s spokesman, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, revealed this in a statement on Friday, April 4, 2025, saying that the suspect Emmanuel Godwino said Emmanuel Godwino kidnapped the minor and detained her in a room where three other people also committed illegal acts with her.
“At 2 April 2025, at about 3:20 am, C4i Strike Force agents arrested a Chinda Street 25, Chinda Street, Ikwerre Road, Harcourt Port Harcourt, on a regular patrol along Casablanca Axis, GRA GRA 2, Harcourt Port Harcourt, Harcourt Port Harcourt, Emmanuel Godwin (male, 23, 23).
“The suspect was found in a company with the name (female, 14) of minors (female, 14) at 11 Nwogu Martins Street, Chinda, Port Harcourt.
“After the interrogation, the suspect admitted to kidnapping and detaining the minor in a room, and three other people also carried out illegal acts with her for more than a week.
“At present, efforts are being made to arrest the entire suspect.
“The arrested suspect will be prosecuted in court after investigation.
“River State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.
“Further updates regarding this situation will be communicated in due course.”
