Command spokesman CSP Moses Yamu disclosed this in a statement in a statement in the state capital city of Benin on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Ogedengbe reportedly attacked his farm by suspected herders on February 25, PPRO said.
“The Owan East LGA president reported the incident at the Afuze police station, prompting a swift investigation that led to the arrest of three suspects,” the statement said.
The suspects were all residents of the Erah community and they were also transferred to the SCID for further trial.
Yamu said police also increased the security of Uzanu and Okpekpe communities after two farmers were recently suspected of herders against Klling by two farmers.
He said Police Chief Betty Otimeenyin reiterated the order’s commitment to ensuring the safety of the state’s residents.
He cites the Commissioner to urge the public to remain vigilant and to work with law enforcement officers by reporting suspicious activities.
“We appreciate the public’s support and call for continued cooperation. If you see something, say something,” the CP said.
Meanwhile, a video posted on Facebook shows the late man talking about the insecurity of farms in the community before his M8rder.
