Agents from the Quick Response Squad (RRS) have arrested two suspects for fake Lagos State Ambulance Service (Lasambus) and exploiting the unsuspecting public.
The suspects, 34-year-old New York Joseph and 29-year-old Lawal Rofiat, were arrested by RRS agents on April 29, 2025, at the time of officials at Lagos State Ambulance Service (Lasambus).
The suspect who worked with the Braingrace ambulance service has been posing as a Lagos ambulance service and has provided various payments of hospital care to the wool victims of the accident, which is free to the state’s accident victims.
The suspect’s fraud was exposed on social media by a relative of an accident victim who was forced to cough with pre-resorrow care N150,000:00, but the victim died before arriving at the hospital.
Relatives of the deceased realized that the service was designed by the Lagos State Government and was deprived of exploitation. They went on social media, causing the Braingrace ambulance to falsely claim that they were deceived by officials in the Lagos State Ambulance Service (Lasambus).
The two suspects have sworn to the police and have been prosecuted.
