
The Nasalawa State Police Command arrested two suspects for the kidnapping of an 8-year-old boy, Abdulrahman Sani.
The commander’s spokesman, SP Ramhan Nansel, revealed this in a statement Thursday, March 20, 2025, saying suspects Surajo Yusuf and Peter Samuel were arrested in the report of an Alhaji Sani Bello, whose son was kidnapped and demanded that the kidnapped N700,000 Ransom. The victim was then rescued.
According to PPRO, police searched the suspect’s residence and retrieved the criminal’s belongings, including uniforms and equipment for Nigerian Correctional Services and Nigerian Immigration Services, knife, Nigerian Correctional Services Identification Card, State ID card and three ATM cards.
On March 17, 2025, about 1,600 hours, the Mararaba A department of Kalu LGA, Nasarawa State filed a complaint by Alhaji Sani Bello, a resident of Tudun Wada in Mararaba. Mararaba then contacted him by phone and asked his son to release 700,000 blackmail.
“After receiving the report, Police Commissioner Shetima Jauro Mohammed quickly instructed a team of police detectives to investigate immediately.
“Assessed with reliable intelligence, the officer delayed the suspect and successfully arrested the following personnel from Kefi, Nasalawa State: 1. Surajo Yusuf, Male, 22, a native of Katsina State, a native of Katsina State, Angwan Tanko, Keffi, Keffi, Keffi and Peter Samuel, Male, Male, 23, and 23 of the town of Nasalawa.
“Searching the suspect’s residence has led to the recovery of various crime projects, including: Nigerian Correctional Services and Nigerian Immigration Services Uniforms and Equipment, Knife, Nigerian Correctional Services Identification Card, National Identity Card and three ATM cards with different names.
