
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects on the M8rder of Dauda Manu, 25-year-old commercial motorcycle rider in the Daraso Local Government area.
The commander’s spokesman, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, revealed this in a statement on Monday, March 24, 2025, saying suspects Yau Buba and Buba Muhammadu were arrested two weeks after their arrest D3AD and his motorcycle disappeared.
During the interrogation, Wu Baba revealed that he sold his motorcycle to Mohamed for N250,000.
““On March 3, 2025, an incident report was available for the Dalazo District Police Headquarters, where an unidentified person was found lying in the village of Dosho near Dalazo and suffered multiple injuries,” the statement said.
“After receiving the report, a team of detectives led by the subdivision police visited the scene and evacuated the unidentified agency to Darasso General Hospital, where the victim was certified D3AD by a doctor.
“After a hard investigation, the person who was eliminated was identified as David Manu
“It was also discovered that before his D3ATH, Dauda Manu was riding a motorcycle (boxer model) on 04/03/2025, with two unknown people on board.
“As the investigation into the matter, on March 20, 2025, Yau Buba of Darazo LGA, a 25-year-old Minchika village, was arrested in Gombe State with a motorcycle of the victim.
“During the interrogation, Wu Baba revealed that Buba Muhammadu had sold his motorcycle to him for 250,000 Nairas (N250,000) (n250,000), a 22-year-old Minchika Village, who was later arrested on 21/03/2025.
“The case has been transferred to the state criminal investigation department for a cautious investigation to reveal the circumstances of the incident. The suspect will be prosecuted after that.
“Finally, the command has re-emphasized commitment to suppress statewide protection of criminal activities to protect lives and property.”
