
The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man for armed robbery and M8rder.
The commander’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, revealed this in a statement Tuesday, May 6, 2025, saying that suspect Aliyu Umar and his accomplices invaded the home of a 30-year-old man, Shehu Muhammad, in Danbare Quarters and attacked him with knives.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and he was later pronounced dead by a doctor.
“On May 5, 2025, at about 6:40 am, the Kano State Police Command received information from residents of the Danbare dormitory in Kano, two suspected armed robbers attacked the residence of a 30-year-old male, Shehu Muhammad, a 30-year-old male, attacked his long cut pillar and attacked his body with a longer cut pillar.”
“After receiving the report, State Police Chief CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, Sfipma, MNIM, MNIPS, MASIS immediately dispatched the operational team with the detectives.
