The Kano State Police Department arrested four suspicious bandits in the Hodoro area of the metropolitan city of Kano.
The commander’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement Saturday, March 8, 2025, saying police recovered weapons and ammunition, charm and over N1M cash from the suspect.
According to PPRO, the investigation shows that the suspect is in Kano with an intention to purchase the AK-47 rifle.

“On March 6, 2025, at about 2:00 pm, a team of police detectives led by SP Ahmad Abdullahi, head of Kano Jar Kuka Out-Post, arrested four suspicious bandits at the Kano Hotoro Quarters Chula Filling Station.
“The suspects, named Shukurana Salihu, 25 years old, Rabi’u Dahiru, 35 years old, Ya’u Idris, 30 years old, all from Katsina State and Muktar Sani, 30 years old, of Yandodo Hotoro Quarters, Kano, were arrested based on credible intelligence that they were in Kano with intent to purchase an AK-47 rifle.
After a thorough search, the following items were recycled: three (3) partially manufactured revolvers, twelve (12) real-time ammunition, four (4) cartridges, twenty-four (24) bearing balls, four (4) knives, one (1) trucks, one million, twenty-one million, twenty-thousand thousand yards, n thousand five hundred thousand rays (N1).
