    Abia State Police Chief CP Danladi Isa dismissed three officers for alleged conspiracy, kidnapping and extortion of unsuspecting victims.

This action follows administrative disciplinary measures taken by the order.

    “Remember, on January 29, 2025, the above-mentioned officers and two other civilians were armed with electric batons, assault rifles and a Beretta Pistol, and were respectively armed by the Divisional Police (DPO) Abayi arrested. Colluded and hired a minibus, kidnapped some civilians along the Harcourt Port Highway, threatened and extorted them, and since then asked the family for extra money to release.

    “The headquarters initiated an investigation/ordered room trial, which confirmed their involvement in non-professional conduct, which was against the discipline and inhuman bias of the Nigerian police force, leading to their official measures.
