Detectives from the Lagos State Police Department have begun chasing the owners of an apartment in the Bariga area of the state, where rifles, pistols and some ammunition were found.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident, saying he was arresting the owner of the home.
Hundeyin mentioned that on February 21, at about 12.23 pm, police at the headquarters were enforcing the court order with a court sheriff Igbosere with breeze revolver , an assault rifle with breeze position and a live ammunition.
“The guns and ammunition are hidden in polyethylene bags at the above-mentioned venue. The exhibition has been recycled to the station’s arsenal and registered. Meanwhile, the investigation is underway,” he added.
