    • Lawyer Chisom Agbafor warned Nigerians not to allow police to search their phones, stressing that this is illegal.
    • She noted that many citizens succumbed to their devices out of fear or ignorance, emphasizing the need for people to understand and defend their rights.

Nigerian lawyer Chisom Agbafor triggered a reaction online after reminding citizens of their rights to police checks.

In the Trends post on X, she clearly stated that police officers do not have legal authorization to search for individuals’ phones. However, she noted that many Nigerians are willing to hand over their devices out of fear or ignorance, which is due to the lack of knowing their rights to act such as this.

Her comments have since sparked widespread debate, with many social media users sharing their experiences of illegal stays and searching with security agents.

In Otehr News…. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (known as Mohbad), went live in Tiktok to refute the claim of a romantic relationship with seeker Rich Grace.

During the meeting, he spoke about a viral audio in which a woman claimed to be his sister, claiming he was dating and sleeping with rich grace. Aloba clarified that the woman was not his family.

“I want to tell the public that the woman in the audio is not my biological sister. I know her only through the justice of Mohabad. She has been doing a lot of things to destroy my family. I sent her the audio and she said she only protected me from evil,” He said.

Aloba firmly denied the allegation, stressing that the idea “never crossed his thoughts.”

“I now say publicly that I have never dated, nor have I had sex with rich grace. It never thought about my thoughts. People just sit in their house and form a lie. He warned.

Excerpts of his live conference were shared online in support of his statement.
