The Bauchi State Police Department has arrested four people suspected of participating in the illegal manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit herbicides in the Bauchi Metropolitan.
The commander’s public relations officer, SP Ahmed Wakil, knew about this in a statement issued Sunday.
Wakil said the arrest was conducted at around 1:30 pm on May 3, 2025.

The suspects arrested at the scene included Usman Suleman, 21, of Karofin Madaki, Ahmad Musa, 20, of Wuntin Dada, and Muhammad Nuhu, 17, of Fadaman Mada. They were reportedly captured in the production of fake agricultural products.
The subsequent search of the property produced various guilty items: 26 cartons under the brand of “Strength”, an empty “Gobora” carton, two drums containing unidentified liquids, two barrels, 100 empty single-stage single-stage bottles marked “Strength,” “Strength,” “Strength,” “Strength,” “Strength,” sealing tape, super tape, super glue, leather fragments, wooden wood products, wood products, welding spoons and charcoal and charcoal and charcoal and charcoal.
During the inquiry, the three identified Muhammad Muhammad, 36, of Fadaman Mada as important accomplices. He was later arrested by the authorities.
“As the investigation continues, all suspects are currently in custody,” Wakil said, adding that the order determines that “all illegal production and sales in all forms of illegal production and sales in the state are cut.”
