
Delta State Police Department said it will investigate viral videos, some of which were allegedly in the president of the Delta State Polytechnic Institute, Ogwashi-uku, Eruru Christian, over n500 ‘Settlements.
A X user Chukserice shared the video, claiming that the SUG president was allegedly contacted by police who asked him to “resolve” them with the N500.
In one of the videos, the SUG president heard say
“You SL@pped me because I refuse to settle you. You will see things you have never seen before. Ogwashi-uku Department Police SL@pped Me, President Sug, because I refuse to settle them in the car… Because I refused to give him N500.
They ran around the bushes, watching them, criminals. They threatened to shoot me, the president. Look at you, criminal. The whole world will see you. ” He said in another video that the police walked out of the car and shot into the air.
SP Edafe Bright responded to the viral video, and a spokesman for the command revealed that an investigation had been conducted into the incident, adding that the officer accused of assaulting the SUG president was detained.
“When we investigated the incident, he asked about their allegations #500 remaining and allegations, we are investigating and he said they hit him, which is also wrong and is currently in custody. However, due to the kidnapping in the area, the area is abducted. Cooperators, we should not encourage Sug Peesident to be so hostile in the deployed police. Even if he leaves him, he calls police criminals and thieves. This should also be discouraged.”
