Pandemonium erupted in Atakpa near the Calabar Watt market in the Calabar South Government Area in the Calabar South Government Area on Sunday, March 23.
According to witnesses, the officers were violent and shot into the air, and the bullets accidentally hit the victims and killed them immediately.
“The victim was innocent, and there was no argument between the passers-by and the police. I suspect the police ran away with Amok.”
Confirmation of the incident, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Cross River State Command, SP Irene Ugbo said
“The officer was not doing well and we suspect he became mentally unstable.
PPRO stressed that the command tried to uncover the mystery behind innocent victim shootings.
