
The police command in Lagos State has detained a 22-year-old member of the armed robbery group who specializes in theft of cars.
Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement issued Saturday that the suspect was arrested in the state’s Icoton area through an intelligence gathering.
“The group targeted vehicles in eastern Nigeria and transported the victims’ cars to Lagos and sold them. During the interrogation, he admitted from an accomplice, one who is still a whole woman, he is a whole woman,”
Police image maker said the suspect led a team of operators to where he sold his cars.
“Restored a Lexus 350 color and Lexus 330 black Lexus,” he said.
Hundeyin added that efforts are being made to arrest other fugitive members of the group and possibly restore all stolen vehicles.
