
Pope Francis’s coffin was arranged in St. Peter’s Cathedral this morning.
The three-day viewing ended at around 7pm on Friday, marking a substitution of the guards in the Pope’s open coffin.
Thousands of people lined up to see the pope lying in the state, and the Vatican extended the opening hours of the cathedral and welcomed visitors to pay tribute throughout the evening, due to the high expected turnout.
Today, including U.S. President Donald Trump, his predecessor Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the Prince of Wales
Others include French President Emmanuel Macron, former U.S. President Joe Biden and Irish President Michael D Higgins, Spain’s King Felipe VI and Spain’s Queen Letizia.
