    What is African indigenous knowledge?

Before the arrival of Europeans, Africans already had a complete way of life. We have farming, medicine, education, security, family life, governance, communication, art, and more.

Yes, they may be primitive compared to what the colonists brought to us, but the important thing is that they work. Even today, when modern medical treatments fail to improve a patient’s condition, doctors still advise families to “go home and try traditional medicine.”

African indigenous knowledge therefore refers to the traditional understandings, wisdom and practices that African communities have developed and passed down from generation to generation based on their experiences and observations of nature, culture and the environment.

We have uncles who use indigenous knowledge to protect their farms. Therefore, no one is allowed to trespass and harvest without permission. In addition, some places have very low theft rates because they have methods and means of identifying thieves; through names or descriptions. These are just two examples. Each village has unique indigenous knowledge that is still used.

The potential of indigenous knowledge to revolutionize technology ecosystems

A relatively untapped niche in technology is the translation of indigenous knowledge into products without the end users knowing or being aware of the origins of such products.

For example, a system used to protect a farm could be modernized by converting it to hardware, software, lasers, etc. and sold to protect homes, offices, vehicles, etc. (Gender, skin color, height/short, etc.) are valuable to security agencies, corporate agencies and individuals.

However, the first step is to go back to the village, get close to those people, and learn. During this process, we should identify the active ingredients. The reason is some customs such as sacrifices, rituals or
There may be some insignificant spells involved that can be eliminated and still get the desired results. In other words, sifting the grain from the chaff.

The next step is to use our expertise (programming, end-to-end development, IoT, software engineering, blockchain, DevOps, gaming, analytics, etc.) to turn this active ingredient into a marketable product.

I heard that some people have the ability to bring the dead back to life. If this is true, then anyone who learns about active ingredients and turns them into products is bound to become the next Elon Musk!

    Who will win in football

This is a football match prediction website designed using transformed indigenous knowledge. No databases, no machine learning, no data science.

Each request is processed independently by running a prediction algorithm written in Python. Its active ingredient is based on predicting the winner and loser between two individuals or groups.

In fact, the prediction algorithm can be used in any two-team sport, such as basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis, boxing and badminton, lawn tennis. It can also be extended to determine the winner of an election with two (main) candidates. The applications are countless.

For best results, the user’s intention to view the winner of the football match should be genuine. Otherwise, the possible results will be: Processing error… This match is not scheduled. Currently, users can visit whowillwin.football to view the winner of any match in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Nigeria Premier League. Other leagues and competitions will be added in due course.

Other forecasting systems to be developed include determining the rise or fall of foreign exchange, the size of the return on investment, whether a potential debtor will default, the consequences of a business relationship or marriage, etc. We welcome collaboration and partnerships in building forecasting systems.

    final thoughts

Translating indigenous African knowledge into marketable products is an untapped area. Each village has unique indigenous knowledge to explore and transform. The sky is big enough for all of us.
