Education Minister Tunji Alausa said President Bola Tinubu has approved the conversion of Yaba Polytechnic Yabatech’s Yabatech technology.
He revealed this during a work visit to the college on February 14.
Alausa said the university is ready to become a full-fledged university, adding that the school is a lasting legacy.
“The principal said a few minutes ago that the staff, students and administrators of the college have been praying and fasting to convert it to college. Somehow you kind of ambush me, but I have to let you know when I was with President Bola When Tinubu discusses this, he didn’t waste time approving it. I was just waiting for the memorandum and other necessary agreements.
The school is a legacy with more than 200 employees with PhDs in various fields, which is ready and can be a university. All credits about this should be given to the President who loves education and is concerned about providing the best efforts for young people who are our future leaders. ” he said.
