President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe as chairman of the National Health Administration Insurance Agency (NHIA).
According to a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Its Inthuanugathe former Kwara Central Senator will be appointed for the first four-year term.

Dr. Olorig represents the 9th Senate of the National Assembly in the Senate of Kwara Central District.
He holds a Master of Coaching and Consulting from the University of Oxford, UK and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ahmadu Bello in Zaria, Kaduna.
He is the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Nigerian General and Private Physicians Association (NMA) (AGPMPN), the Nigerian Veneration Disease Association, the Nigerian Medical Directors Association, the International AIDS Association (IAS), and the African Health Leadership and Management Network.
Oloriegbe served as chairman of the Senate Health Committee and chairman of the United Nations National Assembly from 2019 to 2023
Health Commission.
