President Tinubu has given new instructions to 36 governors in what he calls the “armchair critic.”
Nigeria News Nalin Report President Bola Tinubu urged governors in 36 states to allow their works to speak for them.
The Nigerian news platform learned that Tinubu accused the governor of continuing to focus on providing meaningful development to his people, regardless of what he calls the criticism of “armchair critics.”
Tinubu spoke during a two-day visit to Katsina State, emphasizing that visible achievements and measurable outcomes are real indicators of effective leadership.
“Let people be at the heart of your plan. Your hard work and specific achievements will answer any criticism. Ignore distractions – your results will convince you,” Tinubu said during the commissioning of the major infrastructure project.
The president commissioned 24km of Eastern Bypass Road, which was completed in 18 months by Governor Dikko Radda. The road runs from Dutsin-Ma Road through Kano and Daura Road, ending with Yandaki in the Keita Local Government Area.
He also launched the Katsina Agricultural Mechanization Center, a flagship project designed to promote farming in the state.
In his speech, President Tinubu praised Governor Radda for his performance in major sectors including agriculture, health care, education and infrastructure, noting that significant progress has been made in less than two years.
The president acknowledged the challenges raised by terrorism and robbers in the region, but praised the governor for his courage and resilience.
He assured: “We have decided to be peaceful and stable. I know you are facing terrorism and robber attacks in the state, but you have shown determination and courage to move Katsina State forward. You are not walking alone. The federal government will be with you.”
Tinubu stressed that hunger and poverty remained the most pressing threat to national peace and stability, confirming his government’s commitment to food security and the empowerment of agriculture.
“The economy is sailing on the right track. We have witnessed efforts to eliminate hunger. Farming of all sizes will be encouraged. Once we get rid of hunger, we will appreciate peace and harmony.”
He added that agriculture remains at the heart of Nigeria’s future, calling for modern agricultural approaches and better water management systems.
“The ancient style of agriculture has disappeared. We must invest in mechanization and water management. Agriculture is at the heart of our progress and must be at the heart of all.”
He announced the revitalization of the Agricultural Bank, which will be reorganized to better support farmers across the country.
“The Agricultural Bank is revitalizing. After the recovery, the bank will provide funding for large, small and medium-sized agriculture,” he said.
He also called on other governors to imitate Catzna’s agricultural reforms.
“You have introduced a great progressive movement in Casina by ploughing the land and putting it into practice. Agriculture will be our source of prosperity and growth. We must rely on and commit ourselves to agriculture from dependence on oil,” Tinubu said.
The President expressed his gratitude to former Governors Ibrahim Shema and Aminu Bello Masari and other political stakeholders in Katsina for their support and contribution to the state’s development.
He added: “Thank you for the honor you gave me. You came to the airport to receive me and made me feel very welcome. I am your son, I am one of you. It’s homecoming, and Katsina is the House – the benefits of progress, development and freedom.”
