
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed N54.99 trillion of the Appropriations Act of 2025.
The bill was passed by the National Assembly on February 13, 2025, and the bill was added from the initial figures submitted by President Tinob.
The budget was signed at a brief ceremony held in the presidential office on Friday, February 28.
The appropriations law in 2025 accounts for 99.96% of the budget of 27.5 trillion N27.5 trillion in 2024.
The 2025 budget breakdown shows that total expenditure is N54.99 trillion; statutory transfers: N3.65 trillion; recurring (non-DEBT) expenditure: N13.64 trillion; capital expenditure: N23.96 trillion; debt services: N14.32 trillion; deficit to GDP ratio: 1.52%.
The budget was signed before the National Assembly leaders led by Senator Godswill Akpabio.
