A few days after President Donald Trump jokingly said he “wanted to be a pope”, Donald Trump posted a picture of himself portrayed as the real social pope on Friday.
The White House also reposted images.

Pope Francis d!ed last month. Vatican doctor Andrea Arcangeli said in a death certificate released last week that the 88-year-old suffered from stroke and heart failure. President Trump is one of several world leaders at the Pope’s funeral.
After Trump released an AI-generated image in a papal outfit, several social media users accused him of mocking Francis’ death.
One commented: “This does not respect the church and God himself… He is actually the Antichrist.”
Another wrote: “It’s disgusting and totally offensive.”
“It’s very disrespectful and narcissistic. Republicans do vote for it,” a third person tweeted.
Another commented: “How disrespectful to Catholics. That’s all Trump and his magicians are, disrespectful, mean and stupid. How dare you laugh at the process of our Catholics picking the new pope.”
Recently, a reporter asked Trump that he wanted to inherit Pope Francis. The 78-year-old quipped immediately: “I want to be the pope. That would be my first choice.”
He further added: “I have no preference. I must say we have a cardinal, which happens to be a place called New York, and he is very good, so we’ll see what happens.”
