
A gasoline tanker exploded at the end of Tollgate on the state capital Lagos/Ibadan highway on April 12, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
This sad incident happened within 24 hours after the market fire destroyed Ibadan worth millions of naira.
The explosion rate reportedly began around Lead City University Road, with nearby business owners and car owners suffering huge losses.
Akinyinka Akinyemi, manager of OYO State Fire Department, confirmed the incident, citing the merger efforts of the state and the federal fire department to help reduce fires, but did not reduce fires before destroying real estate in the process.
Thankfully, no casualties were recorded in the unfortunate incident.
When the incident occurred, some cars and motorcycles parked along the road were also razed to the ground.
