This is the University of Groningen Talent Bursary 2023 that you should apply for and take care of your tuition fees, all those who are eligible to apply have been provided and the application method has been provided.
The Radboud Scholarship Program is a very rigorous scholarship program. It offers talented, highly motivated non-EEA students with excellent academic performance the opportunity to gain scholarships for a complete master’s degree program at Radboud University taught in English.
Every year, the Radboud Scholarship Program awards a number of partial scholarships during one of the English-taught Master’s programs (with the exception of Erasmus Mundus Masters and Joint Degree Masters).
In 2023/2024, a maximum of 26 Radboud scholarships are available: Faculty of Arts (1), Faculty of Law (9), Faculty of Medicine (1), Faculty of Management Nijmegen (2), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies (1), Faculty of Science (10), Faculty of Social Sciences (2).

Scholarship conditions
You are eligible to apply for the Radboud Scholarship only if you meet the following conditions:
- Hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport
- Not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fees for other reasons
- Has (will obtain) a bachelor’s degree obtained outside the Netherlands, has not obtained a degree in the Netherlands and has not received any previous education in the Netherlands (except for exchange programmes, if they are part of a bachelor’s degree obtained outside the Netherlands)
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements for your chosen master’s program
- Be fully admitted into an English-taught Master’s degree program with effect from September 1, 2023, as stated in the official admission letter
- Be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a Dutch visa
- Already enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student in academic and master’s degree programs on scholarship
Subsidy amount
The Radboud Scholarship will reduce your tuition fees to €2.314, – for example: bursary holders in 2022/2023 will only pay tuition fees of €2.314, – instead of €16,000. The scholarship also covers the cost of your visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance (Aon Student Insurance) during your stay in the Netherlands.
How to Apply for Radboud University Netherlands Scholarship Program 2023
You can indicate your wish to apply for a Radboud scholarship when applying for a master’s program in the OSIRIS application system. You will then be asked to upload three additional documents: two letters of recommendation and a resume. If you have already uploaded these documents for your master’s program application, you can upload the same documents again for your scholarship application.
Scholarship selection and admission to the Master’s program are two independent processes: admission to the Master’s program does not imply scholarship selection.
Additional Information
- If you are selected as a scholarship recipient and admitted to a two-year master’s program: To be eligible for the scholarship again in the second year, you need to pass all courses in the first year.
- The Radboud Scholarship cannot be combined with the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship, the Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship, or the Orange Tulip Scholarship. If eligible, you may apply for more than one scholarship, but only one scholarship will be awarded. However, please note You cannot apply for both the Radboud Scholarship Program and the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship at the same time, you can only apply for one of these two programmes.

You must complete your application in the online OSIRIS application system no later than 23:59 on February 28, 2023 (Central European Summer Time).
Please note that if you are applying to the MSc Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Mechanisms of Disease programme, the application deadline is January 31, 2023. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered for Radboud Scholarship selection.
An incomplete application means that some information and/or documents are missing or illegible. Therefore, please note that you submit your application via the online OSIRIS application no later than early February 2023 to allow the Admissions Office sufficient time to review your application and notify you if it is incomplete.
We recommend that you submit proof of English proficiency by the February 28, 2023 deadline. You will be informed of the final decision on your Radboud Scholarship application from Student Life and International Mobility by mid-April 2023 (dates subject to change).
Selection Procedure for the 2023 Scholarship Program at Radboud University, Netherlands
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:
- academic excellence
– Outstanding learning outcomes in your current field of study, such as grades, examination results, publications.
– The relevance of your previous degree to the master’s program.
– The ranking of the university where you received your previous degree. - ambition
– Quality and relevance of motivation letters for master’s programs.
– Demonstrated promise based on previous achievements, performance and work in relevant fields of study.
– Life experiences and/or extracurricular activities such as internships or volunteering. - refer to

All students applying for a Radboud Scholarship will be considered individually by the selection committee of the college to which they apply. The selection is based on the above criteria. Faculties may also make selections based on other criteria; for example, some study programs conduct interviews.
The scholarship does not cover the costs of living and studying in the Netherlands.
