One of Barcelona’s star player Raphinha secured his name to mention alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest football players in Champions League history.
Raphinha contributed his goals for Barcelona this season (2024/25), through a goal equivalent to Cristiano in one season. The Brazilian has contributed 21 goals in the Champions League season, the same as the Portuguese International team.
Raphinha scored in the second leg of the semi-final tie with Inter Milan, contributing 21 goals (13 goals and 8 assists) in a single Champions League season. Ronaldo achieved the same feat with 17 goals and 4 assists in the 2013/14 season.
This form of the midfielder will make him one of his favorites to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony. But the only disappointing part of this achievement ahead of the awards ceremony later this year is that his goal is not enough to get Barcelona to the finals of the tournament.
