
Sukoto Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar has announced the discovery of the Ramadan fast for the crescent moon.
On a broadcast on Friday, February 28, Sultan, who was also the president of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), said Saturday was the beginning of the country’s Ramadan fast.
“We have received information from Muslim leaders across the country and we have accepted the gaze of the moon,” Sudan said.
Abubakar calls on the entire Muslim community in the country to quickly start Ramadan on Monday after the teachings of Islam.
