- Regina Daniels’ marital crisis with Senator Ned Nwoko is escalating with the pair unfollowing each other on Instagram, sparking speculation of family rift.
- The development comes against the backdrop of legal battles, the arrest and release of her brother Sammy West, and a bitter custody battle over Regina’s children.

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her UK-based brother Sweezzy have sparked rumors of family feud after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. The digital fallout comes during one of the Daniels family’s most tumultuous periods, with Regina’s public separation from husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
To add insult to injury, Regina’s other brother, Sammy West, who was recently released on £5 million bail, has reportedly also unfollowed Sweezzy.
The family friction appears to be closely linked to the ongoing legal battle between Regina and Senator Nwoko.
Arrest: Sammy West was arrested in November 2025 after Ned Nwoko filed a petition charging him with criminal conspiracy, trespassing, assault and cyberbullying.
Allegation: Regina claims the arrest was a “power move” by the senator to intimidate her during a marital dispute.
Release: While Sweezzy and their mother, Rita Daniels, loudly celebrated Sammy’s release on Nov. 10, subsequent “unfollows” suggested that internal divisions over how the family handled the crisis may have surfaced.
The differences between the actress and the billionaire politician have become increasingly acrimonious. Regina, who recently cried over the separation from her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, claimed that Nwoko sacked her staff to cut her off.
“The last time I spoke to my children was in mid-November… Ned fired all of my nannies, forcing them to make false statements accusing me of violence and alcoholism… and has since filed for full custody.”
In response, Senator Nwoko’s legal team issued a statement claiming that the court ruling had granted him custody, citing concerns over Regina’s “emotional well-being.”
“The ruling came in favor of Senator Ned Nwoko and gave clear instructions that Regina Daniels must undergo drug treatment and undergo an assessment by the Department of Social Welfare, Abuja, before she can be reinstated.”
