Nigeria’s Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor (commonly known as Rema) spent a heart-warming moment at a sold-out show in New York’s Madison Square Garden (MSG) in honor of music icon and Mavin Records founder Michael Collins Ajereh, famously known as Don Jazzy.

In a video of Madison Square Garden waving waves on social media, Don Jazzy joins Rema on stage and then tries to quit quietly. However, the 24-year-old killer made his tracks, seizing the opportunity to openly celebrate the veteran producer’s lasting impact on the Nigerian music industry.

Rema, speaking of the large crowd, emphasized the importance of providing industry pioneers with due honors while they are still here. He praised Sir Don Jazzy for his career as a result of many Nigerian artists and the growth of the Afrobeats genre around the world, and his career is often self-evident.

“I want to give you your flowers in front of so many people… You do a lot of things in the game, things you don’t talk about, people don’t talk about. You have changed a lot of life, I just want to say that I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart, I love you so much, I love you so much,” Rema announced that it attracted the audience to cheer.

This moment has since sparked widespread admiration online, with fans and artists applauding Rema as it acknowledges one of the key figures behind the success of many Afrobeats stars.
