Remo stars made history on Sunday night, beating the Niger Tornado 1-0 in their first Nigerian Prime Minister Football League (NPFL) title. In a tense match full of missed opportunities, Olamilekan Adedayo became a hero, launching a decisive target in the 84th minute to inspire wild celebrations.
From the very beginning, the Remo star showed an intention to attack. Alex Oyowah’s early goal offside, while several opportunities fell on Nduka Junior, Sikiru Alimi and Bello Babatunde, but the breakthrough refused to come in the first half.
In the second half, Remo Stars worked harder and Oyowah hit the crossbar and tested the goalkeeper again. The substitution brought new energy, and after Haruna Hadi barely missed it, Adedayo finally broke the deadlock and threw the ball into the net to beat the victory.

Sky Blue Stars skillfully managed the closing ceremony to secure all three-pointers and championships. With this victory, the Remo star scored 68 points in 35 games on the NPFL table, a new chapter in Nigerian football history.
