    • Reno Omokri criticized football players, entertainers and artists for spending a lot during peak incomes.
    • He stressed that many people eventually broke down and blamed the government for its financial difficulties.
    • Omokri describes this behavior as a sign of “mental laziness.”

Reno Omokri criticized football players, entertainers and artists who have extravagant incomes at the peak of their careers just to ultimately undermine and shift the responsibility to the government.

According to him, this behavior reflects “mental laziness”, emphasizing that people in these areas should assume personal responsibility to ensure the future.

In a post shared through his X account, Omokri wrote…

“Football players can’t enjoy the benefits of their success alone and then outsource their failed society

Athletes, athletes, entertainers and artists are not the responsibility of the government or society unless they become civil servants, in which case they are entitled to a pension under their terms of service.

An example is Joe Lasisi, a Nigerian customs service staff member who earned his own personal funds from professional boxing, and he received salary, benefits and entitlements.

It is a pity that if certain national idols break or break up, the responsibility for their final state should not be transferred from them to the public.

When and if they perform national tasks, they should be paid. If they weren’t paid, I remember the public always fighting for them until they did. In addition to paying payments, they often receive gifts of money or property from an admiring country after winning mundane and tournaments.

After that, they have had these money and property and the huge things they have gained from their careers are their business. Naturally, they won’t share such payments with the government or the public. In fact, many of them don’t pay taxes even in Nigeria.

Then, getting older in poverty and being blamed on government or society, whether by themselves or through their friends and family, is in line with spiritual laziness and inability to understand how the world works.

Athletes, athletes, entertainers and artists are also bankrupt in Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia. None of them blamed the governments of these countries or even the public.

For example, let me prove it: Former British professional footballer Paul Gascoigne broke down and suffered from depression after losing £20 million in wealth. Neither he nor his family blamed anyone – against Trevor Sinclair.

This will make itself a further object of ridicule.

This idea means that people who think this way do not understand the working principles and immatureness of life. In fact, they should be placed under the care of someone who knows better how to manage success and finances and prepare for retirement.

You can’t enjoy success alone and then want to outsource your failures to society. ”
