Political commentator and former presidential aide Reno Omokri publicly announced his intention to dismantle the contradictory movement, citing personal threats and having an impact with Peter Obi.
Speaking at Breakfast Center, Omokri said his opposition to Obi and his supporters stemmed from personal vendetta.
Instead, he described his past role in Obi’s political rise, noting: “I vow to destroy the movement because Peter Obi is a project for me.” Omokri recalls his efforts to shape Obi’s national popularity, including his role as Atiku Abubakar campaign partner in the 2019 presidential election.
He claimed: “I am responsible for Peter Obi’s campaign companion to become Waziri Atiku Abubakar in 2019.”

Omokri claims that Obi’s supporters, known as Obidentes, attacked and threatened him and his family, leading him to decide to take action against the movement.
He claimed: “Peter Obi’s actions, Peter Obi started attacking me, threatening me, insulting me. It’s OK. But they moved from themselves to my family. I had a daughter at the time. There were multiple death threats.”
