ofThe notice of allegations and gross misconduct against Fubara was read out at a plenary meeting chaired by the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule and the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Major Jack.
Jack cited seven points of alleged gross misconduct by Fubala in accordance with Article 188 of the Nigerian Constitution.
Some of the accusations include demolition of parliament buildings, off-budget expenditure, withholding funds from the Parliamentary Services Commission, refusal to obey Supreme Court rules on financial autonomy of the House of Representatives.
Twenty-six members of the Rivers State House of Assembly signed the notice.
After Jack submitted the notice to the Speaker, who said it would be sent to the governor within seven days, Deputy Leader Linda Stewart also filed a notice of serious misconduct against Audu.
Some of the serious misconduct allegations include reckless and unconstitutional expenditure of public funds, obstruction of the House of Representatives from discharging its constitutional duties under the 1999 Constitution, and connivance of unauthorized persons to hold public office without due screening by the legitimate House of Representatives.
