
Mayor Novorossiisk, a major Russian port city in the Black Sea, declared a state of emergency on Saturday, May 3, a state known by local authorities as Ukrainian drone strikes, damaged the cereal marina and several residential buildings, causing five people to be injured.
The city’s mayor Andrei Kravchenko posted videotapes on his official telegraph channel showing broken windows, damaged balconies and debris scattered outside the apartment building. A car appears crushed under rubble, and huge structural damage can be seen in three residential buildings. Kravchenko confirmed that among the injured, there was a woman in critical condition. Local officials also reported that there were one of two children in the incident.
Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said debris from duvet drones hit three storage facilities at the city’s cereal dock, causing a fire. No casualties were reported at the terminal.
Delo Group, which owns damaged facilities, said the fire has been put out and cleaning operations are underway. The company confirmed that its Deloports terminals operate in accordance with the authorities’ agreements and directives.
Ukraine did not immediately respond to the reported attack. However, the Ukrainian Air Force said Russia had launched a large-scale attack overnight, deploying 183 drones and two ballistic missiles.
