Nigerian street pop singer Habeeb Okikiola (commonly known as Portable) was arrested by officials from the Kwara State Police Department after Fuji legend Saheed Osupa filed a petition.
According to a statement from a police spokesperson Sp Andrewe Children AmyOsupa accused portable crimes, including criminal slander, threats to life, incitement and use of offensive language. The allegations stem from current viral videos, which verbally attacked senior Fuji people.
The singer was arrested on Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun State and quickly transferred to Ilorin for further investigation. Authorities have confirmed that the portable remains are still in custody and are expected to follow court proceedings.
After his arrest, screenshots of Portable’s Instagram story have now been removed, surfaced to show that the artist begged the public to help him apologize to Osupa. He claimed he had contacted intermediaries including music promoters Abu Abbehelp mediate peace.
The vegetable arrest happened when he accused Saheed Osupa of removing one of his tracks from the streaming platform for alleged copyright infringement. In his rant, the portable tagged Fuji singer “Nothing,” A statement angered Ospar fans and further exacerbated the conflict.
The case continues to attract attention on social media, with fans of both artists following closely behind.
