African football legend Samuel Eto’o sent a message to Ademola Lookman after the fine incident against Atlanta.
Milan Inter Treble Award-winning legend Samuel Eto’o disputes coach Gian Piero Gasperini after fine incident against Atlanta striker Ad Ademola Lookman publicly expressed support.
Lookman admitted to feeling “hurt” by Gasperini’s criticism after committing a free throw in Atlanta’s 3-1 victory over Bruger Club, which led to their Champions League elimination. The coach sternly labeled the Nigerian striker as one of the “worst free throwers” he encountered, prompting Lookman to call the phrase disrespectful. Tensions have led to the club holding an emergency meeting to resolve the situation.
Eto’o, now the president of the FA Cameroon, has gone on social media to show his support for Lookman. He posted on Instagram: He wrote:
“My brother, the memory of football lasts 90 minutes, the duration of the game, and then it’s the next game. For us, you are and will always be the champion. Only those with courage can shoot thank you for your courage, greatness The champion. ”
Eto’o’s message was accompanied by images of Lookman celebrating with the Europa League gold medal last season, when Atlanta beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final, thanks to Lookman’s amazing hat trick.
The Nigerian striker also received support from other football superstars, including Alessandro del Piero, as the consequences of the free throw continue to cause reactions.
