The gunman suspected to be a herdsman, and has a father and his two sons in Zogu village in Miango district, Barcelona local government area in Plateau State.
Minister of National Propaganda Irigwe Youth Sports, Joseph Chudu Yonkpa confirmed the incident in a statement from Jos on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
According to the statement, the gunmen launched a brutal attack on the village of Zogu, resulting in the tragic deaths of three members of the same family: Mr. Wey Gabe, 55 (father) Mr. Wey, 25 (son) and Mr. Henry Wey and Mr. Henry Wey, 16, aged.
“In a terrible move, Mr. Henry Wey was beheaded by the Fulani militia.”
“The recent incident has caused the nine D3ATHS recorded this week to create the greatest dissatisfaction with the deteriorating situation in Irigwe Land and calls on security agencies to take any demands to stop this barbarism on our land and to have the perpetrators arrest lawsuits in the face of justice.
“The way criminals invade our homeland and impunity killing seems to suggest a more sinister motive than mere revenge. Therefore, Aida calls on the Plateau State Government and to be safe in need and stop killing innocent people on the land of Erigway.”
