The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has been seeing many defections from its members among all Progressive Congress (APC) parties.
Recently, the party’s 2023 vice presidential candidate Yusuf Buhari defected to the APC.
Buhari not only left the SDP to the APC, but also left the candidate for governor in Kano State, as well as local government contestants and working committee members of the party.
The daily report gathered that the reasons behind his alleged defection were related to the success of President Bora Ahmed Tinob.
However, insiders anonymously told Nigeria Daily that the reason the party members allegedly left the SDP was due to the existence of Nasiru el-Rufai, whose politics was notorious for dictatorship and conquering democracy.
