
Security agents arrested some kidnappers who operated on the local government council in Qua’an Pan, Plateau State.
Qua’an Pan Executive Chairman of the Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship confirmed the development of journalists in a statement signed by special counsel for media and publicity on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Manship also confirmed that the sum of 2,250,000 n2550,000 was recovered from the kidnappers.
The statement said the Qua’an Pan local government chairman reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening security in the region.
The commitment was made during a high-level security operation by Qua’an Pan local government Koprume Barracks, where security agencies successfully arrested the kidnapper and recovered the ransom
During the investigation, it was revealed that victim Muhammadu Sani Juli had an unsettling familiar link with the kidnappers, highlighting the complexity of the security challenges facing the community.
The statement also added that security agencies have shown extraordinary professionalism in searching ransoms and arresting suspects.
In a similar development, security agents also arrested a man for a traveler attacking Juku Road, Nasalawa.
He admitted that their operation involved the use of the AK-47 rifle.
Chairman Manship urged security agencies to strengthen their efforts to arrest kidnappers and robbers in the area.
