Musicians and Owambe’s sensation, Segun Johnson revealed how some Nigerian singers known for singing at famous parties and events make money.
These top musicians don’t necessarily charge performance fees, Johnson said of the Teju Babyface Deep Dive Podcast. Instead, they offer clients a goal of how much their party guests must spray them.
He shared a jaw-dropping scene
“If you want to be at your party, I have to make 50 million N that day.” No fixed fees, no performance fees, it’s just the obvious monetary expectation of the party’s currency spray.
Segun further explained that these A-level musicians sometimes refuse to perform well if the guest list does not have a “heavy” or noteworthy personality.
Instead, if they think the guest list includes influential or wealthy attendees, they will be held at the party for free*. Strategy? Money will literally rain for reputation.
“They know the guys who spray,” Segung said
Interestingly, Segun also revealed *off-Mic*The names of these top musicians are Teju, although not revealed in the clip. His comments sparked conversations and attracted attention to the game behind these high-end parties.
