Nigeria international defender Semi Ajayi is expected to separate from West Bromwich Albion at the end of the season.
Ajayi’s contract with the champion team will expire this summer and the club is reportedly ready to give him a free transfer.
The 31-year-old joined West Brom from Rotherham United in 2019, initially signing a four-year contract. He later extended his contract in May 2022.
During his time with the Baggies, Ajayi made 169 appearances and scored 12 goals. He is a product of Arsenal College and has always been a consistent presence in the club’s backline.
Ajayi also enjoys a solid international career. He played in Nigeria in both the 2021 and 2023 Cup of Africa, playing a key role in the Super Eagles matches in Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year.
