- Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan warned National Assembly secretary Kamorudeen Ogunlana that she would initiate legal action if she was prevented from resuming her duties by September 15, 2025.
- In a letter signed by her attorney Michael Numa (SAN), she accused the CNA of disobeying court orders and warned that failure to comply with the court orders could lead to contempt charges, disciplinary measures and liability “inciting a violation of peace.”

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, issued a stern warning to the National Assembly (CNA), Kamorudeen Ogunlana, threatening to prevent her from resuming her legislative duties by Monday, September 15, 2025, which threatens legal action.
The warning was included in a letter dated September 10 and signed by her attorney Michael Numa (San).
“Note that failure to comply by Monday, September 15, 2025 will have no choice but to litigate you in your official capacity,” the letter said.
Numa further argued that the CNA’s alleged refusal to comply with the existing court’s judgment was a violation of the law and the code of conduct of public officials. He warned that if Ogunlana fails to comply, legal consequences will be borne.
The lawyers added that the proposed steps could include defiance of procedures, disciplinary measures and holding the CNA responsible for “inciting a violation of peace.”
“We strongly recommend that you reconsider your untenable position and comply with the Constitution and existing judicial orders,” Numa wrote.
The latest development comes after an earlier letter from the agent clerk to the National Assembly, Yahaya Danzaria informed Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan that she could not recover because her moratorium was still being heard in court.
