At least seven people were killed when the IED planted by the Boko Haram terrorists exploded on Saturday.
Naija News Gathered together, the seven killed were part of commuters along Maiduguri-Damboa Road in the Sampiza Forest.
According to several sources, the explosion caused many others to be injured by different degrees of explosions when a car was on a scheduled military service convoy, which was transporting passengers from Damboa to Maiduguri.
Maiduguri-Damboa Road connects Maiduguri to several local government areas south of Borno, and has been Hotspot Boko Haram Terrorists have been more than ten years.
The road is closed to vehicles and commuters until the government of Governor Babagana Zulum travels to Damboa, Chibok and other LGAs for passengers and serves as a safety cover for commuters with the help of the army.
The military crossed the road twice a week after scanning the IED, which has been going on for more than two years.
While more details of the explosion are expected, the injured have been taken to a hospital in Maiduguri for quick medical care.
