Jordélia Pereira Barbosa was taken away by police on Thursday, April 17, who accused her of giving spiked chocolate to a family in Santa Ines, also in northern Brazil.

Luís Fernando Rocha Silva died early Thursday morning, with his mother, Mirian Lira, 32, and Evelyn Fernanda, 13, still in the hospital.

The unsuspecting family delivered Easter eggs by motorcycle couriers on Wednesday night, April 16. Leave a message from the secret sender with the eggs saying, “Love, to Mirian Lira. Happy Easter.”

Mirian reportedly also received a mystery from an anonymous person later that night, and when the mother and the two asked who were on the other end, they did not respond. The mysterious caller asked if mom had sent her Easter eggs.

“The woman on the phone said ‘You’ll find out who it is’. She hung up and said nothing,” said mother’s sister Naiza Santos.

“When the egg arrived, there was no identification of who sent it, just notes, and they didn’t say who it was,” Santos said.

“she [Miriam] I only received a call, and the voice was a woman, and asked if she had received it [the Easter egg]. She said, “Yes, who is it?”

Santos said the woman told Lira: “You’ll find out who it is.” Hang up without saying anything else.

According to Globo, her seven-year-old son was the first to start feeling uncomfortable and was taken to a local hospital. Louis died a few hours after he was admitted, and his mother began to show worrying symptoms when she was in the hospital for her son.

Her hands were reportedly beginning to turn purple, and she struggled to breathe before being admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Evelyn, 13, quickly followed and was taken to the emergency room with the same symptoms as his mother. The mother and daughter are reportedly fighting for their Imperatriz Municipal Hospital.

Police have investigated the shocking case and revealed samples of potential killer eggs taken away at Imperatriz Crime Academy for analysis.

Jordelia Barbosa, 36, tried to escape while she was detained in Santesinés on Thursday afternoon.

The arrest came within less than 24 hours of the pallet allegedly there was a pallet that sent holiday treatment to family members 239 miles away from the town of Imperatriz.

Police officers from Malahan said Barbosa had previously dated Milian’s ex-husband and her two children, Rafael Silva.

It is alleged that this is not the first time that an unsuspecting victim has been killed. A Christmas cake with arsenic is believed to have killed three family members in Brazil.

Neuza, 58, Maida Bernice Flores Da Silva, rejected Silva Dos Anjos, 65, and Tatiana Silvia dos Santos, 43, all died in December after biting in a homemade fruit cake. Their 42-year-old relative Deise Moura Dos Anjos was arrested in January for alleged triple murder and triple attempted murder – and was accused of poisoning the flour used to make desserts.

Deise died in February and is believed to have claimed her life in a prison cell while in custody. According to local reports, diesel left a note in her cell claiming to be innocent and feeling frustrated.

Another Australian family is facing the horror of lunchtime when the three died after eating Wellington beef, and were allegedly poisoned to death. Erin Patterson was charged with triple murder after cooking for her ex-husband’s family, but she denied any misconduct.

Police believe the unsuspecting Wellington is tied together by poisonous mushrooms. The victim died a few days after the meal.
