Nigerian singer Ceeza Milli says he was instrumental in discovering and supporting the talent of musician Ayra Starr.
In a recent chat with Yanga FM in Lagos, Milley revealed that he first met Ella Starr when he was dating a woman who was her mentor in school. He added that he even accommodated her at one point, emphasizing that his impact on her career was undeniable.
“When I discovered Ella Starr, I wasn’t actively looking for opportunities to manage artists, but I love seeing talent develop. She couldn’t deny my role in her journey. I’ve known her since she was very young Still in school. My ex-girlfriend even stayed at my house for a while because of her relationship with her school. ” he said.
Ayra Starr released her self-titled debut EP under Mavin Records in January 2021, which attracted widespread attention.
She also mentioned that Mavin Records owner Don Jazzy contacted her in December 2019 after discovering her music on Instagram.
