Shocking Tinubu fires Fubara and leaves Wike - Rivers State Government

The Rivers State Government’s decision to President Bola Tinubu shocked the removal of Governor Siminalayi Fubara while leaving the Federal Capital Territory Minister (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Nyesom Wike, which has shocked the state for a long time.

The state government argued in a statement issued by National Information and Communications Commissioner Warisenibo Joe Johnson that the president’s decision to declare a state of emergency in Rivers State is unfair, because despite the state’s commitment to constitutional, peace, peace, peace, peace and good political politics.

Johnson stressed that since taking office, Fubara has prioritized the protection of life and property while ensuring progress in the River State. Even in the face of political instability, the governor maintained his constitutional obligations and placed the interests of the people above personal or political considerations.

The Commissioner noted that after President Tinob intervened in brokerage peace, the River State Government had sincerely implemented the agreed terms, including the resumption of the Commissioner who had previously resigned. Furthermore, the government promptly abides by the Supreme Court’s ruling when it received a certified copy of the true judgment and demonstrated its commitment to the law and democratic process.

He believes that despite these efforts, the governor loyal to Vick, who is also the former governor of the state, continues to hinder peace and stability. He was surprised that Wike, who was described as the leading actor in the crisis, was still in office despite Fubara’s removal.

“It’s shocking that Mr. President fired the governor and left his minister, who was the main actor,” Johnson said.

The state government calls on river residents to remain peaceful and law-abiding, while reaffirming its commitment to interacting with all relevant institutions to uphold democracy and to ensure that river countries continue to flourish.

“We have always been a resilient person and we will face this with wisdom, patience and a firm belief in the democratic process,” Johnson added.

The Rivers Government insists that it will continue to prioritize the well-being and prosperity of its citizens while navigating the evolving political situation.
