Shola Ogudu, the mother of Boluwatife Balogun, the eldest son of Nigerian music star Wizkid, has shared a throwback post looking back on her son’s journey five years later.
Ogudu shared a screenshot of her own tweet from January 6, 2020, in which she talked about the confidence she instilled in her then 8-year-old son.
An old post reads: “I have successfully instilled so much confidence in my 8 year old that it literally moves mountains…confidence that makes him say ‘Mom, I promise you, in a few years I will be the best person in the world…so it should be too 🙏🏾 #BLESSED”
Ogudu shared the original post on December 8, 2025, and simply captioned the update: “Five years later…we give all the glory to God 🙏🏾.” This post celebrates Boluwatife’s growth and progress since first sharing these inspiring words.

In other news… Nigerian actor and senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, has addressed those who accuse large ministry pastors of living lavishly.
Jimmy points out that many of the pastors who face criticism today once worked hard to build their churches from the ground up, but no one paid attention during those difficult times. It’s only when the department is successful and visible that people will start complaining, he said.
He said:
“Listen, it’s easy to talk about pastors who have big churches and big crowds. It’s easy to talk about them when they’re at that level. When they don’t have people, where are you?
“The reason you want to talk about what they are doing is because the church has grown to a size that you recognize. But where were you when they started having two people in a living room? Where were you when the pastor had no money and he rented a hall with his salary? No one remembers those times, but now they want to be angry because the pastor drives a nice car. But when the pastor walks to church, you have no problem.”
He also reacted to those who criticized pastors for handing over churches to children.
“All the great pastors, if it was easy, you too start your church and make it big. Just do it. All these pastors, they just do it, it’s just a family business. They just pass it on to their kids. You also start your church and if it’s easy, pass it on to your kids. What’s the problem? I said what I said,” he added.
Jimmy Odukoya is the son of the late Pastor Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya, founders of the Fountain of Life Church.
