Colombian singer Shakira revealed she was “hospitalized” after suffering a abdominal morbidity on Saturday night.
The 48-year-old female singer with no lying on her hips announced that she was taken to the emergency room last night in a statement to her Instagram story.
Shakira also revealed that she is now canceling her performance in Lima, Peru after the doctor determined she wasn’t on stage enough.
“I’m sorry to inform you all last night that I had to go to the emergency room for a belly problem and I’m currently hospitalized,” she began in a statement.
“The doctors I am currently caring for have communicated that I am inadequate to perform tonight.”
“I’m very sad that I can’t go on stage today. I’ve been looking forward to reunion with my incredible fans in Peru.
“I hope I can be released tomorrow so I can perform,” she continued in a statement.
“My team and sponsors are already working to communicate with you a new date.”
“Thank you for your understanding. I love you all,” she wrote, signing with “Shaq.”
