Smokey Robinson faces a major legal challenge after four women filed lawsuits in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 6, accusing the legendary singer of repeated S3xual assaults and rapes while working for him and his wife Frances Gladney Robinson.
Jane does claim they were hired as housekeepers of the Robinson family, and their employment hours overlap. According to the lawsuit, the alleged abuse spans several years, and the earliest incidents date back to 2007. The woman claimed that when Frances was absent, smoke summoned them to his bedroom or other private area of his home, and the attack was allegedly taken.
Each woman described similar patterns of abuse, including forced oral S3X, digital penetration, and complete interactions against her own will. The lawsuit alleges that the victim explicitly told him “no” in these encounters. The two women further claimed that Robinson ejaculated inside without using protection.
According to the filing, smoke is sometimes prepared by putting down a towel before attacking to avoid staining the sheets. The women are now suing him for S3xual assault, assault, false imprisonment and gender-based violence, demanding at least $50 million in damages.
Frances Robinson was also appointed in the lawsuit, although the plaintiff did not accuse her of participating in the alleged attack. Instead, they believed she knew her husband was suspected of prior misconduct but did not take action. They also accused her of contributing to a hostile work environment by using racially insensitive language, excessive workload, and rejecting meals and breaks required by law.
As of now, neither Smokey nor Frances Robinson have publicly responded to the allegations.
